“Expedite action on Rapist,” Women Group Exhort IGP

A women group, THE Criterion; an association of Muslim women in business and professions; has condemned Rape and called on the police to speed up the arrest and prosecution of Rapists.
The Criterion National Amirah (President), Alhaja Fatymah Oyefeso stated that they all felt the pains of mothers of the late Barakat Bello and Uwaila Omozuwa, who were gang-raped and murdered by evil vermins from the pits of Hades and prayed to God to give the ladies’ parents the fortitude to bear their irreplaceable losses.
She said: “The ugly act is getting too many; drastic steps need to be taken to abate it. These are promising young ladies that had their lives truncated for no just cause.
“We feel the pains of the mothers of Barakah and Uwavera. It is only Allah that can console them,”
