Dare-Devil Robbers Attack Bullion Van At Ajah

Yesterday afternoon, Thursday 12th November, 2020, some desperate robbers brandishing sophisticated weapons hit a Police Van conveying money just opposite Blencos Shopping Mall, Ado, Ajah, Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos, injuring and killing 2 persons which included a motorcyclist, while shooting sporadically.

Video footages of the incident showed the van,tires deflated by gunshots and riddled with bullets close to the corpse of an unfortunate motorcyclist whose bike also laid nearby. Bloodstains from the dead cyclist and another victim from the van was evidenced like some obscene map on the hot tar.

The Bullion Van That Was Attacked Yesterday

The bank whose money was being conveyed and the identity of the victims is yet to be ascertained.

Witnesses, who recorded videos as the robbery was ongoing, said the gunmen shot the carriage open and carted away the cash inside.

It was gathered the armed robbers started shooting at the van from a distance but the brave driver refused to stop until the damaged tires could take no more, and was forced to halt just opposite Blenco Supermarket.

Some sources claimed that the robbers made their escape via the lagoon after taking the cash, while others alleged that they ran into a nearby building.

A source, who claimed to have witnessed the incident, wrote:

“I witnessed a broad daylight robbery 10 minutes ago. A black bullion van was attacked. All the tyres of the van were shot at but the driver did not stop.

“Gunmen in a Sienna and carrying AK-47 were shooting sporadically in front of Blenco between Ajah-Ado Road. Commuters using route should be cautious and alert.”
