

Workers of the National Identity Management Commission have suspended The industrial action which was embarked upon by workers of the National Identity Management Commission since Thursday has been reportedly called off.

The President, Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, NIMC Unit, Asekokhai Lucky, confirmed the suspension of the strike which had arisen out of fear of the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic spreading throughout the agency after holding a meeting with the Federal Government where it was agreed that their Petition would be looked into.
Speaking further he said enrolment of citizens for National Identity Numbers would commence as from Monday 8th January, 2021 and encouraged Nigerians to visit the designated registration centres around them to enrol.
